Tennessee State University is offering a full ride scholarship to Black males interested in medicine to their 7 year undergraduate/med school program.
They have absolutely no black males in the program so they have made this scholarship available on a recommendation only based. The student can’t apply for this scholarship a representative have to nominate them and the school will contact the student if they meet criteria. 3.5 GPA, ACT 28.

Message from Dr. Glenda Glover, President of Tennessee State University and her Community Affairs Liaison, Mrs. Barbara Murrell. TSU and Meharry Medical College now offer a 7-year combined undergraduate-MD or DDS degree program (similar to CUNY's Sophie Davis program).
They have met their desired goal for enrollment of high school females; however, there are no black males enrolled. If you know black male high school seniors that are: interested in earning an MD or DDS, *have a 28 on the ACT and a 3.5 GPA,* there's an opportunity for them to obtain a 'free ride' at Tennessee State University.

The United States Senate Youth Program, established in 1962 by U.S. Senate Resolution, is a unique educational experience for outstanding high school students interested in pursuing careers in public service.
The 61st annual United States Senate Youth Program Washington Week is being planned for March 4–11, 2023. The program may be held online pending public health guidance and status of large group access to the government venues traditionally visited. If held in person, all delegates will be required to be fully vaccinated and boosted to attend.
All eligible students are encouraged to apply. A final decision regarding the in-person program will be determined in the fall of 2022, with adequate time for students to complete the full vaccination series prior to travel. If held online, vaccination status will not be required. Students must attend the program to receive the scholarship. Regardless of platform, all student delegates will partake in a comprehensive, interactive leadership program in the stated timeframe, and each will receive the $10,000 college scholarship in the name of the United States Senate.
