Welcome to Fall friends!  This is an amazing time.  If you do not know the FASFA is now open 
and families can now start to complete the form to qualify for state and federal grant and scholarship
opportunities.  Please follow social media platforms for additional support with FAFSA completion
and scholarship opportunities.  










The VFW is dedicated to promoting patriotism and investing in our future generation. If you are a democracy-loving high school student interested in a $35,000 college scholarship or a patriotic middle school student interested in winning $5,000, these scholarships may be for you.




               Quilt Scholarship Program

                Amount: Up to $2,500
                Closing Date: October 30, 2025
                Description: Scholarship is open to current college students who are majoring in the                        field of education and have at least a 3.0 GPA.


               Beyond School Walls Scholarship
Sponsor: Delete Cyberbullying
Amount: $1,000.00
Closing Date: October 31, 2025
Description: Scholarship is open to high school students (9th-12th graders), college students, and graduate students attending or planning to enter an accredited U.S. college or university. Applicant must submit an essay on a topic related to cyberbullying.

Black and Latino Men Read Essay Contest
Sponsor: Tate’s Consultant Services, LLC
Amount: $1,000.00
Closing Date: October 31, 2025
Description: Contest is open to Black and Latino young men, 14 years of age or older, who are enrolled in either a high school, community college/ and/or four-year college or university. Applicant must submit an essay on the following prompt: “Write about a fictional character or a person in a nonfiction book who faced a challenging obstacle. Describe both the efforts the person took to overcome the obstacle and the lessons learned. Would you have handled the obstacle the same way or differently?”
